Explorer Educator Researcher

I am an urban planner, an architect and a political scientist. I am fascinated by the connections between the social and built environments, and by the question of who gets to shape them.
As an associate professor at TU Delft’s Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, I work at the intersection of spatial justice, feminist and intersectional urbanism, and critical pedagogy. My research asks: how do power, gender, and inequality inscribe themselves in the spaces we plan, design, and inhabit, and how can planning and design become tools for transformation?
I am a founding member of

Envisioning Spatial Justice
What does it mean to design with justice in mind? How can planning become an act of resistance? In Envisioning Spatial Justice, I offer a critical and pedagogical exploration of these questions, blending feminist, postcolonial, and radical urban theory with insights from studio teaching and real-world engagements.

TU Delft Spatial Planning and Strategy

Spatial planning and strategy is a chair in the Department of Urbanism of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of the Delft University of Technology. The chair is concerned with knowledge about the formulation, implementation and evaluation of strategic and urban planning tools – visions, strategies, plans and programmes.
